Water boxes of heat exchangers commonly suffer from corrosion problems and in many cases severely damaged covers have been successfully refurbished and coated providing a reliable cost-effective solution. Refurbishing an old component which would be considered as scrap allows companies to “recycle” their equipment at a fraction of replacement costs, benefiting from the same efficiency a new system would provide with the added benefit of excellent corrosion protection extending its life expectancy.
